A different look and an update

February is a rather short month, and what better way to see the end of it than by fiddling with the layout of my blog, change its name and sign up to Upwork.com . . . and even spend sometime in the sun.  So what did I do? Well, I linked my Amazon and Smashwords pages for easier access. Amazon has one non-fiction book and two fiction shorts and Smashwords is currently empty for now, but that too would change.  Why do all those things? Why not, a change is as good as a holiday, right. 😈 Okay, to be fair, just wanted a change. Not only that, I do have a bit of an announcement to make . . . Is patience a virtue?

I’m sure you’ve all heard the saying “Patience is a virtue” somewhere along the way? According to the English Club , the quote means something along the lines of having the ability to wait for something without getting angry or upset is a valuable quality in a person. For me, it’s more a matter of strategy. Think about it. Things do not happen overnight or straight away, whether it be finishing school or finding the perfect path to your career, or get that manuscript done right. It takes time, and for those of us who are impatient hearing someone say that patience is a virtue . . . Well, this is my reaction: Let’s face it, we all live in a society of instant gratification. We just want things now, now, NOW! Consequently, being patient is a strategic tactic that I use proactively in my daily life both professionally and personally. Along with each new step forward (and the occasional stumble), I am closer to my goals and my eyes are on that prize.
